Back to the roots! The CX Pro is a high speed cyclo-cross tire at an unbelievably low weight. The pronounced tread guarantees excellent traction and cornering.

I’ve been riding on CX Pro for about 6 months and have put a little over 700km on them by commuting. And I’m not talking about normal conditions here. We’ve had over four meters of snow over the winter! (I live in Quebec, Canada) Roads aren’t cleared for days after the storm and yet I was able to ride everyday on 700cx30 (actually a those are 700cx28, measured with a caliper). Amazing! This tire just cuts through the snow. Very good grip on icy patches also. And yet it’s still pretty fast once they’ve cleared the snow. Now road gunk is usually pretty terrible in the winter… oil salt dirt and water… all that can’t be good can it? Nope it isn’t, I’ve had to changed break pads more than ever before… But the CX Pro still look like new (tread is a little worn out in the back, but sides are perfect). I had originally wanted to buy a pair of studded Marathon, but my LBS recommended CX Pro’s. I just don’t see studs as being a good option in the city anymore. Once they’ve cleared the street there’s no need for stud until the next storm. I’m totally sold to the CX Pro! If you’re an aggressive bike winter commuter get this tire! You will not regret it! This tire will show all those guys with MTBs for commuting that it’s not how you do things… even in harsh winters. And it’s cheap on top of that!
